About your next Challenge as a System Engineering Intern:
2025 Engineering Co-op Program
The program is designed to develop students’ professional skills and provide a foundation to be successful engineers in the future. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to experience several phases of engineering including analysis and design, component engineering, ILS, equipment testing, and development of technical documentation. Within each discipline, structured mentoring from senior technical staff will enable the candidate to learn quickly and boost their competencies.
What will you do:
- Manage the Obsolescence of COTS components including Last Time Buy (LTB) and End of Life (EOL) information and provide recommendations supporting replacement decisions.
- Liaise with OEMs and develop corrective actions for obsolescence issues.
- Evaluate Fit, Form & Function (FFF) substitute(s) or design changes when a part is determined obsolete.
- Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) for replacement components.
- Manage and maintain Obsolescence risk levels of COTS equipment.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Completed 3rd year of Marine, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering;
- Commitment to work well done, ensuring follow-ups and seeing that deadlines are respected;
- Ease of working with people (customer teams, several internal services and external suppliers);
- Generate ILS deliverables from vendor data (LSAR, LORA, RBD, Spares Analysis, Technical Manuals, Disposal Plan, Hazardous Materials Analysis, etc.);
- Experience with Omega PS (or similar LSAR database) and Omega PS Analyzer (or similar LORA, LCC, spares modelling) is an asset;
- Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project);
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment;
- Must be meticulous and detail-oriented;
- Excellent technical and presentation skills.
- The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
