About your next Challenge as a Specialist, Software Engineering:
What will you do:
- Responsible for software installation, integration and testing on Power Plant Simulator projects;
- Help resolve complex and challenging problems arising during the various phases of development, integration and testing of Power Plant Simulator;
- Responsible for the software configuration, installation and support of all test sites located in-house or at customer sites;
- Preparation of software installation and maintenance documentation;
- Occasional travel
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Software) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- MS Office (including Access), VBScript, SQL, Visual Studio, C++, Fortran, Groovy, experience with various OS (Windows, Linux) and virtualization engine (Hyper-V)
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects on tasks requiring judgement and initiative
- Strong communication with contacts within and outside own team
- Complex problem solving and ability to improve systems
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
