About your next Challenge as a Senior Associate, Software Engineering:

L-3 MAPPS Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) running on board various military ships throughout the world are built using software developed by L3Harris MAPPS.
The selected candidate is expected to contribute in the design, development and test of the CORE software in marine control systems. The candidate will also provide in-house or on-board support as required.

What will you do:

  • Prepare design specifications, elaborate designs, implement and perform tests for the next generation of CORE software in Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) using C++.
  • Contribute to the integration, testing and commissioning of the system onboard ships;
  • Participate in the system acceptance activities

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • The ideal candidate shall hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Software engineering or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience in software development;
  • Experience with modern Object Oriented Design and Programming with at least 2 different Programming
    Languages. (C++ is a must. The other could be Python, C# or other);
  • Experience in network/communication programming;
  • Knowledge with control and/or I/O systems;
  • Experience/knowledge of RTI-DDS (Data Distribution Services) or equivalent is a plus;
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools and DEVOPS process ;
  • Strong English written and spoken skills;
  • Willing to learn new techniques and be a team player.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

·Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;

·Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.

·Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
