About your next challenge as Senior Associate, Material Management:

As a Senior Associate, Material Management, you will be the reference as a Materiel Management Specialist. You will be asked to participate in the definition and implementation of logistics strategies to ensure the maintenance of an optimal level of inventory. You will need to familiarize yourself with program and customer requirements while maintaining an optimal level of inventory. You will be called upon to work closely with several functions within the company (program, engineering, procurement, methods, production and finance) in a multi-site context.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain performance indicators at the materiel management level;
  • Place requirement in the system and coordinate with the procurement team;
  • Complete purchase order reception transaction in system for offsite reception;
  • Ensure data quality is preserved; (ex: unit price accuracy, data cleansing, monitoring old transactions);
  • Analyze the available data as well as the history of inventory levels in order to rigorously monitor inventory levels;
  • Identify and set up, if necessary, an inventory level management strategy;
  • Identify, analyze and report deviations, adjustments, causes of stock outs or expired expiration dates;
  • Identify, analyze and communicate the optimal method of material rotation
  • Identify and manage obsolete inventory;
  • Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve materiel management;
  • Prepare and submit material management report to intern and extern client;
  • Provide material management support to the operations and the store.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent;
  • One to three (1-3) years of relevant material management experience (any other equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);
  • Know the concepts and processes of supply chain and inventory management;
  • Knowledge of SAP, an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite required;
  • Communication skills in both French and English (oral and written);
  • Teamwork, initiative, flexibility, stress management and customer service are desirable behaviors;
  • Intermediate Excel level;
  • Good analytical skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
