As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. About the Role
This is a 16 month role (with occasional 12 month opportunities available). The Supply Chain Management Inventoy Analyst Co-op holds a key responsibility in maintianing appropriate Production Inventory levels and developing solutions to mitigate undesirable increases in those levels. They investigate Inventory anomolies and collaborate cross-functionally across the greater oprganization to develope and execute mitigation plans. This role demands strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to create and maintain reports for Key Performance Indicators in Supply Chain Management. The Co-op actively supports Continuous Improvement initiatives and is proficient in data analysis within a team-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify inventory avoidance/reduction opportunities
- Working with all departments to drive inventory reduction opportunities
- Generation of inventory metric reporting, management and control
- Measure specific categories of inventory against key metrics
- Provide analysis of metrics including recommendations for action to improve performance
- Hands on management of obsolete inventory via sales, rework, or scrap
- Assist in forecasting appropriate levels of stock
- Manage/reduce excess to MRP inventory
- Participate on Inventory Focused project teams as assigned
- Assist on a daily basis in evaluating changes in demand and configurations as they relate to overall inventory levels and stranded inventory
- Other duties as required
Required Capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly energized, results oriented problem solver
- Strong understanding of Inventory and Production Control processes
- Ability to learn and grow within a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Data analysis capability
- Knowledge of SQL is an asset

- Enrolled in a College/University level Business Program
