Job Description:
Join the L3Harris team as a Training Operations Coordinator and enhance your organization and customer networking skills while supporting our training operations, customer coordination, and equipment accountability processes to a diverse clientele, including military, civilian, and international customers. This role is essential for ensuring our technical training classes are properly scheduled, equipped, and delivered while maintaining strict control of sensitive and high-value equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Respond to customer inquiries, clarify training needs, or redirect to appropriate internal teams using Microsoft Outlook.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide training support and follow-up information that meets the evolving needs of our customers.
- Manage trainer assignments based on course requirements, instructor capability, and schedule availability.
- Coordinate with Program Managers and customers to identify student requirements, including facility access, schedule adjustments, or special accommodations.
- Update various database tools to ensure proper logistics are documented for execution and data accuracy.
- Oversee equipment management, implementing sign-in/out processes, ensuring gear accountability through hand receipts, inventory verification, and discrepancy reporting.
- Participate in regular scheduling and operational meetings to ensure alignment with customer and program needs.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years or prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience coordinating logistics, scheduling, and customer communication for technical or training events.
- Familiarity with training delivery processes, including room scheduling, trainer assignment, and student management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and database management or scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of equipment accountability, inventory management, and visitor access request procedures (e.g., SIGNIT).
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with basic IT systems, communication equipment, and experience supporting government or defense-related programs.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $62,000 - $115,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
