Job Description:
L3Harris Communication Systems is seeking a Lead, Program Manager to join our tactical program management team to deliver mission critical solutions to our DoD customers. This position is responsible for managing complex DoD programs through all phases from proposal to period of performance completion.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, execution, and technical performance requirements of assigned programs through all phases, from inception to completion
- Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, subcontracts, and line items are available to support internal and external delivery targets. Involved in defining deliverables, and guiding internals teams.
- Manages programs/pursuits to help achieve TCOM's quarterly orders, revenue, OI, and Cash objectives.
- Directs the preparation of proposal, proposal work statements, specifications, operating budget and contractual fiscal terms/conditions.
- Works with Sales / customers to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities.
- Provide strategic leadership for program management activities.
- Communicates within and outside of the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence senior leadership to accept new practices and approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies.
- Directs the execution of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short-to mid-term functional area results.
- Requires advanced management and cross functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Previous experience managing mid-size to large, complex programs including development or system integration
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Technical background preferred
- Experience in using advanced application of technical and business principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical and business problems
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $108,500 - $201,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
