Job Description:
L3Harris is actively seeking a Logistics Specialist that will be responsible for a variety of logistics tasks such as supply support, Hazardous Material Control Management, and Tool Control Management. The ideal candidate should have experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA and be familiar with current military logistics support concepts and processes. They will also perform other related tasks as required in support of flights, testing, and production for the program.
Essential Functions:
- Material Control, logistics, and Hazmat experience with: P-8, 737, or other relevant aircraft.
- Processing and track supply requisitions received by the work centers and maintain an up-to-date inventory and status of all parts on hand.
- Compile and release required reports has required by the customer and the program office.
- Interface with program office and customer, as directed concerning maintenance issues and assist in developing corrective action plans when requested.
- Provide data input to applicable databases to maintain accurate record keeping.
- Performs Hazardous Material Control planning and management of material handling equipment.
- Responsible for inventorying, receiving, transferring, and properly turning in all used and excess Hazardous Materials from all Navy commands.
- Effective communicator and strong motivational skills.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Must be willing to work any shift (7 days a week) and overtime (up to 20%) as business requires.
- Able to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Travel up to 25% of the time both international and domestic.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years of prior Logistics experience.
- 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with four (4) years of prior Logistics experience.
- Active Secret DoD Clearance at the time of hire.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Flightline Physical.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in managing Material Control, IMRL, Tools, METCAL, HAZMAT, any other related US Navy Aviation logistics programs.
