Job Description:

L3Harris–Imaging & Laser Systems (ILS) Division is seeking a Finance Manager, including responsibilities over Pricing proposals as well as the FP&A and Program Finance Team. This Manager executes highly complex, accurate and complete financial analysis; develops, interprets and implements program financial reporting, forecasting, earned value, and proposal efforts. The Manager is an integral member of the Division Leadership Team and the Leader of the Finance organization. The incumbent is responsible for guiding and directing all day-to-day activities of the functional finance areas, as well as contribute to Proposal Pricing and managing Program EACs. This position has primary responsibility for short- and long-term forecasts, EAC creation and management, supporting Program Management with program financial reporting and earned value management, and Business Capture Management with proposal and pricing efforts, including the annual budgeting process, conducting variance analysis, special projects and ad-hoc reporting requirements.

Essential Functions:

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

  • Primary lead for Division Finance (FP&A) Reporting requirements.
  • Primary lead for Program Finance Management, ensure EAC accuracy.
  • Primary lead for Pricing and Proposal efforts.
  • Guides, directs, and supervises the activities of FP&A function, Program Financial Analysts, including pricing activities across the ILS Division.
  • Provides financial data and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, financial analysis, and other projects.
  • Contributes to monthly Governance and Program Management Reviews (PMRs), among other presentations and regular meetings.
  • Responsible for the management of the ILS division’s monthly Forecast and Annual Operating Plan forecast accompanied with detailed supporting schedules.
  • Administers and oversees Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for Division with proper reporting and analysis; supports Program Management with analytics to run programs. when required.
  • Oversees and leads Pricing for USG as Prime & Sub, as well as Commercial pricing.
  • Prepares meaningful variance analyses of actual versus forecast financial performance.
  • Advance and improve current models for forecasting and pricing to improve process efficiencies and accuracy, including updates to pricing and performance KPI’s.
  • Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs financial analysis such as funding profiles, sales outlook and variance analysis.
  • Adheres to internal financial controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, procedures and work instructions for the Division.
  • Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.
  • Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen 
  • Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area. Typically has comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 8+ years of directly related experience, including DoD contractor experience with EVMS and Program Finance.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint),with advanced level experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 5+ years leading, directing and reviewing the work of direct report(s) or team members who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • 5+ years ERP experience, Deltek / SAP preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience working in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), CostPoint and Cognos environments.
  • Possess and maintain a valid US drivers license.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of accounting and financial principles regarding the interaction of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Knowledge of COBRA and ProPricer applications. 
  • Ability to travel to other L3Harris sites as needed
  • Proven ability as a strategic thinker and experience in developing plans for short- and long-term results.
  • Success in a fast-paced development and manufacturing environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure.
  • Able to meet schedules and time frames consistently.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong working relationships with coworkers in other departments.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize workload, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive and forward thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends when needed to support business and customer requirements.
