Job Description:

Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Finance Managerfor our Orlando, FL or Palm Bay, FL locations. This role will provide financial leadership in a Government Contracting organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial processes including direct and indirect forecasting and reporting. Additionally, this position will manage finance support to on-contract and new business proposal activities.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment with a desire to learn and grow.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads and directs experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or associate managers.
  • Communicates within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches.
  • Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.
  • Directly supervise and support financial and proposal activities.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; staff development; planning, assigning, and directing work; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manage forecast of orders, revenue, profit, cash, and overhead rates providing analysis and reporting in support of the business rhythm.
  • Coordinate and develop the strategic plan and annual operating plan, collaborating across all functions of the organization to accomplish.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of analytics tools, and processes to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide program pricing guidance and ensure accurate and timely proposal support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior finance experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior finance experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior finance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Financial Reporting and Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Experience in Estimating and Proposal Support.
  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Experience in working with government customers such as DOD, DCMA, DCAA.
  • Proficiency with Power BI for data visualization, report creation and dashboard development.
  • Understanding of the development and application of overhead rates in the organization’s. cost structure, and the impact of rates on pricing, profitability and revenue.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.
  • Knowledge of government accounting and reporting requirements (Federal Acquisition. Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Prior formal or informal leadership experience.
