Job Description:
The potential candidate under close supervision and following established policies and procedures will conduct a variety of tasks support the quality control laboratory. They will also set up and conduct tests following experimental procedures in accordance with specification requirements under environmentally controlled conditions. They must be able to design, conduct experiments, and be able to produce consistent and repeatable results. Assistance in data reduction and report generation is also required.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of various wet chemistry techniques, moisture analyses, particle size analysis, calorimetry, mechanical property testing.
- Proficient following ASTM’s, Military Specifications, and Weapons Specifications.
- No travel requirements
- Ability to obtain US security clearance
Qualifications:
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Chemistry preferred.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; Excel, PowerPoint.
