Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Specialist, Program Manager, this role can be located out of our Huntsville, AL or Camden, AR facility. The Program Manager will lead all phases of programs from proposal development through completion with only general oversight. Drives program action to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow for an existing program. Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for designated project areas working with a program lead or manager to achieve results. Acts as customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions with customers for assigned aspects of proposal development, negotiations, and execution. Assists in coordinating program support, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on time and on budget deliveries. Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on division results.
Essential Functions:
Develop, own and execute program plans to include scheduling, milestones, procurement, logistics, and resource allocation.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful program execution from initiation to closure.
Manage program budget for a mix of cost type and firm fixed programs, including forecasting and tracking expenditures, cash collection, orders, labor, material and other expenditures.
Manage customer relationships, including regular updates and negotiations.
Lead follow-on proposals in a timely fashion through entire gate review process.
Prepare and present program management reviews monthly to senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve technical and logistical issues.
Monitor program performance against plans and make necessary adjustments to meet objectives.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
Ability to delegate work and hold others accountable for performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and company policies and procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Up to 25% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites.
Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related program management experience, or 10 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification or equivalent.
Demonstrated managerial level of leadership.
Demonstrated proposal experience.
Experience briefing executives.
Experience with cost plus and fixed price programs.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS).
Demonstrated managerial level of leadership.
Extensive knowledge of financial management and business development practices.
Experience with DoD contract execution.
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
