We are seeking an Associate, Program Scheduler for the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment at the Missile Solutions Sector Headquarters located in Huntsville, AL.  Working under general direction and guidance, the Program Scheduler will be responsible for creating and managing integrated master schedules.  This position requires the selected candidate to have strong organizational skills, be an excellent communicator, have an aptitude for the logical thought process, and have the ability to maintain attention to detail.  Experience using Microsoft Office software is required in order to develop compliant schedules and develop accurate metrics and analysis charts.

Essential Functions: 

Under general supervision, the employee will support Development Programs through the following:

20% - Work with Engineering Leads to Perform Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) activities to accurately represent the program logic and the activities sequenced with appropriate lead times and durations.

30% - Perform monthly IMS status and work with the business manager to ensure cost and schedule integration and maintain through change control process.

20% - Conduct schedule integrity checks, correcting schedule when necessary.

30% - Build metrics and schedule status charts for program management and external customers including, critical path, 14-point schedule health analysis, execution indices and schedule risk assessments.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or pursuing master’s degree with a discipline in business.

Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communications skills, be proficient in the use of PC, internet, intranet and electronic office applications.
  • Must be adept at taking direction, work well with teams and be customer focused.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform on task and follow up on assignments. Must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and have basic project management skills.
  • Safe work practices, proper ethics and attention to detail are required. Candidate must work with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus. This position requires a positive attitude and personal interaction with various team members and customers.
