L3Harris’ Broadband Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Inventory Support - Dispatcher to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.
Position Overview:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by analyzing documentation and paperwork while moving materials to support the build of high-performance data link systems and products. Performs material movements and system data functions while interacting with various departments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Shift is a 9/80, and will require rotating weekend support
- Makes decisions related to priority, packaging, and material handling
- Maintains material flow of Materials from build initiation to completion
- Accurately handles and tracks all material using SAP MRP system
- Locates lost orders, works closely with Production Planning where applicable
- Interfaces with other functional areas and leadership teams
- Works from oral & written instructions using a computer
- Frequently lifts, twists, bends, and rotates with up to 32 pounds
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 ½ years of experience in stores, shipping, or receiving
- Experience operating hand carts and pallet jacks
- Ability to work overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
- Ability to perform in a team environment with good inter-personal skills
- Knowledge of packaging procedures, materials, and inventory used in packaging and/or handling of finished goods
