Compensation Range: Between $70,000 - $120,000 CDN annually
As Senior Materiel Management Planner, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of logistics strategies to ensure the maintenance of an optimal level of inventory for various programs.
Close collaboration with several different functions (Program, Engineering, Procurement, Methods, Production, and Finance) across multiple sites is a key success factor in meeting our customers’ requirements (quality / schedule / cost).
Essential Functions:
- Generate an annual plan of parts to be disposed in order to meet our contractual inventory‑reduction targets;
- Monitor the various steps of the plan’s execution on a daily basis with the different stakeholders (Warehouse, Engineering, Program, etc.);
- Be able to analyze a large volume of data to validate the usage of thousands of different parts and identify dormant inventory;
- Communicate project progress to internal/external customers and keep action lists up to date;
- Develop and maintain performance indicators related to material management;
- Lead the development and implementation of various material‑management strategies and processes across all multi‑site operations;
- Drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing material management;
- Lead the development, implementation, and communication of material‑management procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification;
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in materials management;
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts and processes, as well as inventory management;
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset;
- Very good command of the Microsoft Office suite required;
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English;
- Teamwork, initiative, flexibility, stress management, and customer service–oriented behavior are essential;
- Advanced Excel proficiency;
- Strong analytical skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
