Job Description:
L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Navigation Solutions software development team. Successful candidates perform complex professional software engineering assignments requiring advanced problem solving skills.
This requisition, and any potential offer, is contingent upon the award of government contracts and adherence to contract budgets.
Essential Functions:
- Hands on embedded C/C++ development, including integrating and debugging on target hardware (typically 5+ years’ experience)
- Embedded software design, development, and test
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in real-time development and architecture for GPS Receiver software
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and hold a DoD SECRET clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior related experience.
- 2+ years of experience in working as a Team Lead, Technical Lead, and/or SME in fields of GPS/APNT
- Software experience with GPS User Equipment
- Experience in architecting, developing, and integrating real time embedded software for YMCA GPS User Equipment, including on target Hardware Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development methodology
- Working knowledge of signal selection, acquisition and tracking, Position, Velocity, and Time (PVT) calculation, data demodulation, signal correction, jamming and spoofing or related applications
- 5+ years of platform experience using Linux/Windows, C, GCC
- 2+ years of experience setting up and maintaining virtual machine environment
- 5+ years of experience with Python and C
- Experience in inertial measurement units
- Hands-on experience with the following tools
- Jenkins
- Jira
- Crucible/Collaborator
- Visual Studio
- Code Bench
- Git
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related toolchains
- Soft skills – communicating and working well with cross disicplines of h/w, systems, test)
- Familiar with Defense industry typical documentation and milestone reviews
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is Min $97,000.00 - $180,000.00 Max. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $84,500.00 Min - $157,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
