Job Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a senior professional with strong knowledge of facilities project management for our Jupiter, FL location. This role leads a facilities team (and contractors) supporting L3Harris’ customer missions. Responsible for managing complex projects or processes with general oversight.
Essential Functions:
- Manage large projects or processes that are both inside and outside of immediate job area. Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees as needed. Responsible for managing complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products.
- Develops, manages, and tracks facility capital and operating expense budgets, and establishes long-range strategic plans in support of business goals.
- Works as a back-up to Facilities Maintenance Engineer and Facilities Analyst to oversee the planning and implementation of space allocation, furniture and equipment layouts, communication services and networking requirements, facilities’ compliance with building codes, guidelines, and regulations, preventative, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of all WPB AR facilities and facilities support equipment.
- Utilize a facilities maintenance management and work order system, coordinates with contractors and interfaces with external government agencies on facility matters. Jointly responsible for code and corporate compliance, security, environmental, health, and safety standards within the facility.
- Works to achieve operational targets. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results.
- Establishes milestones, monitors adherence to master plans, budgets, and schedules. Identifies problems and develop solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.
- Must be eligible to obtain a US Secret clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- General Contractor’s license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of facilities, engineering, construction and project management.
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
- Communicates within and outside of own function or business area with management, contractors and customers. Able to explain, interpret policies, procedures and practices.
- Able to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.)
- Able to make improvements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
