About the Role:
Develops and applies practical financial analysis to support bids and proposals, including financial modelling, pricing analysis, cash flow assessments, and proposal financial reviews. Gathers and analyzes financial information to support recommendations, forecasts, and evaluation of potential orders and business opportunities. Supports the preparation and analysis of profit and loss, cash positions, and short- and long-term cash forecasts for individual bids and proposals, and performs analysis of financial factors such as working capital, rates of return, depreciation, investment requirements, and applicable customer or government requirements using established processes and financial methodologies.
This role is within the Program Finance and Pricing Team at the WESCAM Division, reporting to the Manager, Pricing & Programs Finance, and provides finance support to the Bids and Proposals / Business Development process, including financial analysis, pricing support, price justification, and proposal review materials. The position also supports the annual update and routine maintenance of the Division’s Pricebook by gathering and analyzing cost and pricing information, applying established pricing methodologies, and coordinating updates with relevant stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models, templates, and analysis to support proposal financials, bid reviews, Gate reviews, and approval processes.
- Support proposal and Gate review meetings by preparing financial analysis, pricing information, and presentation materials in accordance with established processes.
- Perform historical pricing analysis, scenario modelling, and cost/price comparisons to support pricing recommendations and business decisions.
- Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost inputs, and program assumptions for custom product offerings and identify potential costing and pricing considerations.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the WESCAM Pricebook, including updates to pricing, costing, and supporting data in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendation to Bids & Proposals, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, and other functional teams on proposal and program financial matters.
- Support price justification, PSPC requirements, Contract Acceptance, and related commercial activities by preparing required financial analysis and supporting documentation.
- Perform spare-part pricing analysis and maintain related pricing tools and databases.
- Support proposal activities across divisions and other assigned opportunities, working with relevant functional teams to complete required financial deliverables.
- Identify and address general process and data issues within the immediate job area and recommend basic improvements to pricing, costing, reporting, and proposal processes.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation to promote consistent execution and knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Capabilities
- Expert MS Excel skills (formulas and chart-generation)
- Advanced knowledge in other MS Office suite software (PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage competing priorities

- Financial modeling and financial statement analysis
- Prior experience in planning & budgeting preferred
- CPA or working towards CPA Designation would be an asset

*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $70,000 - $90,000
