About the Role:
As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will act as a trusted advisor to the leadership to support our Engineering functions, aligning human resources practices with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR and a deep understanding of talent management, organizational development, and employee relations. You will play a key role in driving business results through effective people strategies and support a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic guidance on talent development, organizational performance, culture, and employee engagement to ensure HR strategies align with business goals and drive organizational performance.
- Lead end-to-end talent management processes, including workforce planning, talent development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and compensation.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and conflict resolution, ensuring a productive, positive work environment and compliance with company policies and labour laws.
- Support recruitment efforts to ensure staffing levels meet operational needs. Collaborate with supervisors and department heads to identify staffing requirements and develop workforce plans.
- Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues, such as disciplinary actions and conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws.
- Support managers in driving performance through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback processes.
- Analyze HR data and trends, proactively recommending solutions to improve employee engagement, retention, and training effectiveness.
- Identify and address issues affecting employee engagement, recommending and implementing solutions to enhance overall employee experience.
- Build strong relationships with functional HRBPs to influence business priorities and ensure alignment with HR initiatives across functions.
- Provide coaching and development to managers on leadership development and conflict resolution.
- Lead HR-related projects and initiatives, supporting organizational change and promoting the use of standardized change management methodologies.
- Partner with leaders to design organizational structure, job functions, and talent management processes that drive business performance.
- Work with the safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations, foster a safe working environment, and promote employee wellness initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9+ years of HR Business Partner experience.
- CHRL designation would be an asset.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, ideally in a matrix organization.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining focus on safety, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
- Experience in analyzing trends and metrics
- High degree of professional integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
- Experience with HR systems such as PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.
