Job Description:
Provides protection and safeguarding of information and information systems within secure areas. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures Identifies and addresses changes within own job area.
Essential Functions:
- An active TS security clearance, with SCI eligibility.
- Ability to travel 25% if needed.
- Possibility of working extended hours to meet the mission, weekend, and flex shifts.
- Responsible for the escorting of uncleared personnel to include contractors, other L3Harris employees, or third parties supporting current and future projects within a secure area for new construction, upgrades, repairs, or other activities as necessary.
- Ensure all customer requirements are being met and documented with regards to the presence of uncleared personnel within the secure or sensitive areas
- Report any activity that could potentially put classified, proprietary, or sensitive information and information systems at risk of compromise or loss.
- Coordinate with both internal and external project supervisors on work schedules and daily plans.
- Provide continuous security escort for aircraft containing or supporting classified systems, components, or mission equipment
- Maintain positive control and accountability of aircraft and associated classified materials during all phases of ground operations and transit
- Conduct pre- and post-movement security inspections of aircraft to ensure no unauthorized access, tampering, or compromise has occurred
- Enforce restricted access measures and verify proper clearance and authorization of all personnel requiring proximity to the aircraft
- Ensure proper use of security procedures when aircraft are staged in non-permanent or deployed environments (e.g., transient alert locations, austere airfields, or temporary secure areas)
- Safeguard classified avionics, mission systems, and removable media in accordance with established directives and program guidance
- Provide work area security briefs and orientations to uncleared personnel.
- Prevent unauthorized items (electronics, cell phones, etc.) from entering secure or sensitive areas.
- Provide support in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities as required to include security container and inventory management.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Microsoft office suite
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Four (4) year’s experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) working in Corporate and/or Government environments with Industrial security duties in support of Intelligence Community (IC) or Defense programs.
- Above average knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Director of Central Intelligence directives (DCIDs) and DoDM 5205.07
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to verbally communicate rules, processes, and requirements.
- Self-starter who can work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements schedules and priorities.
- Experience with Defense Information System for Security(DISS)
