Job Description:
Configuration Management (CM) activities include planning, documenting, and executing the processes and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with internal standards and contract requirements. CM provides support for configuration item identification and control, configuration status accounting, metrics, capturing and documenting configuration changes, performing configuration audits, and providing other functional support as needed to facilitate the execution of engineering activities. This role will support the global space and airborne aviation community with advanced systems and services that significantly increase the safety, security and capacity of global air traffic management systems to meet the growing demand of air transportation operations.
Essential Functions:
- Planning, Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting, Verification and Audit of software and hardware baselines
- Creating and maintaining configuration baselines supporting developmental, production, and sustainment programs
- Coordinating engineering changes ensuring approval requirements are met and implementation is managed
- Interface with multiple disciplines and levels of management regularly to ensure adequate control and traceability of all hardware and software products
- Responsible for meeting Configuration Management technical, schedule and cost objectives on assigned programs
- Team collaboration to continuously improve engineering processes and products
- Custom form creation and management
- User account management and permission management, including external users
- Management of SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server administration
- Administering user level access to shared resources (e.g., SharePoint)
- Performing audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
- Participation with configuration control boards, including creation of agendas, facilitation of meetings and follow up of action items
- Contributes to making suggestions for improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area
- Provide training and user support for Configuration Management problem tracking and version control toolset
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (FAA)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of SAE EIA-649 Configuration Management principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software
- Experience in a Configuration Management role
- Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint Designer, Confluence)
- Experience with software change management tools (e.g., Jira)
- Experience in utilizing lifecycle management tools (e.g., Oracle PDM/PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, ARAS)
- Experience with Microsoft applications for Document and Data management
- Experience with software version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience with Atlassian Jira administration
- Knowledge of performing Software Builds using Jenkins
- Knowledge of PowerShell
- Knowledge of MBSE and Digital Engineering
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $56,500-$105,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $65,500-$121,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
