The Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (SAP Digital Systems Integration & Sustainment – ERP / MES / PLM) will serve as the SAP subject matter expert for Operations and will be responsible for leading ERP sustainment and continuous improvement activities, covering Planning, Quality, MRO, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions within SAP S4/HANA.  This individual will lead a team of business process owners who own an end-to-end process across their functional silos, geographic and business unit boundaries. This leader will coordinate all functions with overall business strategy and be the End-to-End Process leader for operations and supply chain.

Responsibilities include project management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and delivering innovative solutions to align with L3Harris business objectives, ensuring system stability and performance for production systems,  leading digital transformation initiatives; evaluating and implementing additional platforms such as MES and PLM; and driving continuous improvement across operational processes and digital capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with Operations leaders to identify process gaps, system inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve SAP adoption, transactional discipline, and business performance.
  • Lead the optimization of ERP/MRP processes in SAP to improve planning effectiveness, production execution, material availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and improve SAP planning and execution parameters, including areas such as MRP behavior, work centers, routings, planning strategies, and scheduling.
  • Drive standardization and best practices across sites for SAP-enabled operational processes, while balancing business-specific requirements with enterprise consistency.
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, including process design, transaction discipline, and end-user adoption.
  • Act as the Digital Transformation Lead for manufacturing operations, defining and driving the roadmap from an Operations perspective for ERP, MES, PLM, and related digital manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, corporate IT and managed service support personnel to design, configure, and test the SAP modules related to their areas while providing expert guidance on best practices.
  • Collect and document creation of business requirements and Standard Work for tSAP utilization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support optimization and ongoing support of multi-plant SAP system, including system upgrades, enhancements, and new module rollouts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including functional specifications and process flows.
  • Assist with prioritization of issue resolution and enhancements for these SAP, provide guidance to assist with troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Build strong internal & external customer relationships by aligning system solutions to our changing business requirements.
  • Stay current with new technologies, especially within SAP systems, to align technologies with the L3Harris business direction.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50% as needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (Secret).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in SAP plan to produce, with a proven track record of successful system implementations and support.
  • At least 9 years of experience with SAP Production plan to produce workstream and familiarity with integration points with other SAP modules.
  • Experience analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into effective ERP solutions.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with the development of technical solutions to complex problems and driving implementation.
  • Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA/ECC functionality and Configuration.
  • Strong technical background in business operations – tools and processes.
  • Experience working within ERP applications including MRO.
  • Exposure to project management methodologies, including waterfall and Agile.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is US$139,500.00 MIN - US$259,500.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is US$121,500.00 MIN - US$225,500.00 MAX.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
