About the Role
Primary Responsibilities
- Internal and External Audits: Actively participate in the preparation and assessment of our company’s compliance against AS9100D and customer-specific requirements.
- BPMS: Support the maintenance and continuity of the Quality Management System. Perform internal Layer Process Audits related to Business Process Management system (BPMS).
- Lead and adhere to various quality assurance processes like Material Review Board (MRB) and Containment activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilizes quality tools and risk-based thinking to improve accuracy and remove ambiguity from our business and quality management system.
- QMS Metrics: Compile and analyze quality performance data. Develop, graphs, charts, and quality reports.
- Industry Standards: Remain current to industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements affecting the QMS.
- Inspection: Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications.
- Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies.
- Use visual inspection and precise dimensional measurement methods as deem applicable. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection process.
- Consult and communicate with cross functional teams regarding any quality related matters. Ability to deliver any nonconformity information and support the root cause corrective action analysis.
- Training: Continually provide mentorship and coaching on quality management system related matters. Prepare training materials to support the training initiatives.

- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO-900 processes.
- Ability to research, investigate and interview.
- Good organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced product-manufacturing environment.
- Process orientated mindset and auditing capacity.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Desired Education and Experiences
- Requires broad theoretical job knowledge. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post Secondary/Associate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality inspection methods, and configuration management
- Experience using Power BI for data analytics.
- Lean certificate or green belt an asset.
- Experienced working with cross-functional teams.
- ASQ Certified Quality Assurance technician an asset.
- GD&T training.
*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $25 to $35/hr.
