About the Role
This position is responsible for generating and polishing optical components (precision lenses) using CNC machines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up CNC program
- Generate and polish optical components
- Grind optical components
- Edge optical components
- Hand polish optical components
- Inspect/measure optical components to ensure conformity to specified tolerances
Desired Education and Experiences
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or demonstrated work experience in a related discipline
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong technical knowledge, capabilities
- Sound technical problem solving skills
