The role will be part of the GS2 (UK) Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and have overall responsibility for driving the strategic direction and execution of the Multi-domain Sensor Integration business. This includes overall accountability for financial performance of the BA, along with the end-to-end delivery of the Multi-domain Sensor Integration (MSI) mission capabilities, ensuring they meet market demands and strategic business goals. The role will work closely with senior leadership within a matrix organization, including business development, engineering and operations to ensure continued growth within the MSI market.

What the role will involve
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven leader to head our newly established Multi-Sensor Integration Business Area. Our Multi-Sensor Integration Business Area explores technologies and offerings within counter-UAS and data fusion domains. Operating as a Business Unit Manager/Director, this role carries full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of the business area. The successful candidate will also hold full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, including revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, forecasting, and investment decisions.
You will lead the development and growth of a portfolio focused on advanced multi-sensor integration solutions for defence and security customers, combining cutting-edge technologies to deliver operational advantage. With ambitious plans to expand our market presence, you will be accountable for delivering a growth strategy that achieves 30% growth over the next three years, while ensuring sustainable profitability and exceptional customer outcomes.
This is a high-profile leadership position offering the opportunity to shape a strategically important business, influence investment decisions, and build a market-leading capability within the defence sector.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Proven experience leading and growing large/complex product portfolios leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of defence technologies, systems integration, and the operational requirements of defence and security environments.
- Previous experience in roles such as Business Unit Director, Business Unit Lead, Head of Programmes, Portfolio Lead and other similar positions.
