Job Schedule: 9/80 (employee's work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to support the effective management and maintenance of our work environment. This position is responsible for coordinating furniture installations, managing inventory, assisting with employee space planning, and carrying out various facilities-related tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Effectively use internal purchasing system to track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of supplies.
- Perform regular office space occupancy audits to support workspace utilization and facility planning.
- Coordinate office furniture installations, ensuring all projects are completed to organizational standards and timelines.
- Assist with managing employee space capacity by monitoring occupancy levels and optimizing workspace assignments.
- Establish priorities and develop work plans for RBM staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide general support for facilities operations and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (one of the following):
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
- 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Forklift certification.
- Proven experience in facilities management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and scheduling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Effective problem solver
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Collaborative and proactive team members
