Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Trade Compliance Sr. Specialist to join our Communication Systems segment. This role will lead internal investigations related to potential regulatory violations, conduct all aspects of an investigation, including creating an investigation plan, interviewing employees, reviewing documents, and drafting government disclosures or closure justifications.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Trade Compliance staff and business representatives to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective action plans for violations of regulations and Company policy.
- Manage, validate, and close corrective actions.
- Assist with responses to government or corporate inquiries on ITAR, EAR, Customs, and other trade related matters.
- Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating to parties external to the organization when necessary.
- Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices.
- Assist with the development of case studies, trainings, and communications related to trade compliance issues.
- Contribute to reviews and updates to Trade Compliance policies and procedures, harmonizing corporate command media with segment, sector, and division level work instructions.
- Assist with the management of Corrective Actions to strengthen the trade compliance program.
- Assist with the execution of special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior ITAR, EAR and Customs regulations experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Licensed Customs Broker
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Experience with OCR EASE
- Strong investigative skills with prior experience investigating ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and Customs matters.
- Excellent writing skills; must be able to assimilate and analyze complex information and draft clear and concise narratives.
- Keen judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently but remain a team player.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is$78,000 - $145,000.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
