Job Description:
Develops mechanical and electromechanical concepts and designs for test fixtures and stations used in the factory for production testing. Able to work in a fast paced development and manufacturing environment to solve problems in a cross functional team.
Essential Functions:
Mechanical applications include:
- Circuit board functional test (high density, fine pitch and RF connections).
- Unit level (radio)
- Environmental chamber testing
- Fully automated test systems with material handling
- Evaluate existing factory test systems and suggest/implement improvements to reduce fixture related test failures.
- Provide feedback for testability of product designs to engineering.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.
- Abilty to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 years of experience designing electronic test fixtures or assembly fixtures for factory production
- 2 years experience with 3D modeling software (eg. Creo, CAD, etc.)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- SolidWorks experience
- Test systems related to RF products
- Implementing designs with additive printed technologies – familiar with processes and materials
- Experienced with Visio
- Assembly Configuration Management experience (Part Numbering, Bill of Materials, Fabrication drawings)
- Ability to effectively multitask.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with planning, quality, operations, and engineering to highlight and resolve issues.
- Agile scrum development process experience
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $65,500 - $121,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
