Job Description:

The Information Security Systems Engineer will be involved in Information Assurance (IA) related architecture development, requirements analysis and flow down to hardware/software configuration items as well as security requirements verification and validation.  Candidate will analyze and allocate system security requirements, such as those imposed by NSA, and those under the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (RMF), as well as National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) FIPS standards.  The Candidate will oversee and prepare technical documentation (CDRLs) to satisfy the above mentioned processes.  The candidate will interact with mechanical, electrical and SW engineers to make sure product designs meet the security requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • NSA Certification Process support
  • RMF Process support
  • Understanding of embedded digital design principles
  • Understanding of modern SW development processes and SW Assurance requirements (DevOps, DevSecOps, SBOM, Static Analysis)
  • Ability to obtain up to SECRET US DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior Engineering or Cybersecurity experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with security requirements analysis and specification generation.
  • Experience with security system testing.
  • Experience with NSA high assurance certification process.
  • Highly motivated, self starter, able to operate with minimal supervision in diverse environments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $69,000- $128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
