Job Description:

Order Management is responsible for directly assisting the Sales and Program Management teams in executing purchase orders and contracts that are placed on to L3Harris. In addition to managing a team of direct reports, the role is responsible for loading demand against the factory, submitting licensing requests for export, preparing permanent and temporary export documentation and coordinating the creation of payment documentation. Order Management process all credits for returns of equipment. The role is also responsible for review and auditing of internal order accuracy and execution functionality L3Harris has to offer assisting the Sales team in closing out pursuits. 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the management of direct reports in Order Management (approx 6-8)
  • Assist in maintaining and enforcing the processes and financial controls that govern the role. Manage the members of the team to work in accordance with them.
  • Monitor and maintain the workload of the team members and ensure full and complete coverage for the work that needs to be completed throughout each fiscal period.
  • Monitor for quality issues with order entry and provide direction on correcting them to the team. Collaborate with business partners to receive feedback on how the team may operate better to facilitate down steam activities in the order fulfillment process.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams and business partners to ensure cross functional communications and workflows are optimized for all teams
  • Should have strong personnel management skills including the ability to encourage career development and conduct onboarding.
  • Should be familiar with CRM quoting process.
  • Should be familiar with Oracle and International shipping including experience in ITAR and EAR environments.
  • Should be process oriented and show a continual interest in improving the tools used by the group and the processes we follow to increase quality, improve efficiency and reduce defects
  • Should be able to operate in a high pressure environment and react quickly but in a controlled manner to urgent situations.
  • Responsible for directing and managing international sales orders from booking through to payment.
  • Responsible for determining if the internal organization can meet customer requirements.  Understands, interprets, and maintains compliance with federal regulations. 
  • Tracks export licenses
  • Prepares US Customs documentation for all shipments in compliance to ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Coordinates overseas shipments with freight forwarders
  • Prepares documentation for Letters of Credit in order to collect payment.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering customer phone calls, and uploading/editing documents on SharePoint
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of booking packages, orders and shipment documentation for the purpose of supporting international business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in order management.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred
  • Experience with Import/Export activities
  • Experience with Excel; pivot tables, vlookups, etc. 
  • Strong written and oral skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Works well within a team and works well with multiple teams simultaneously. 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $62,500 - $116,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
