Job Description:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. Essential Functions:
- Perform a variety of routine manufacturing engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing staff and company programs, methods and practices
- Assist in authoring manufacturing instructions for shop usage
- Assist in problem solving related to assigned programs
- Work in our PLM and MRP systems establishing BOMs and manufacturing routings
- Investigate problems which arise in the shops during the fabrication or assembly of products and recommend solutions
- Analyzes engineering drawings and support documentation for application to program requirements and producibility
- Assists with producibility analysis, development of process flows and risk analysis
- No travel is required for this internship
Qualifications:
- Candidate shall currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of equivalent discipline.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Manufacturing experience/familiarity
- Solid modeling
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $20.50 -
$32.50 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based
on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a
variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The
specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire,
schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
