About the role
The Integrated Logistics Support Manager is responsible for the planning, integration, coordination and continuous improvement of logistics and sustainment support systems across L3Harris Communications Australia (L3HCA) in-service support, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), acquisition and transition activities.The position provides the interface between Program Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Customers to ensure supportability, availability, readiness and lifecycle cost objectives are achieved.
The Logistics Support Manager oversees the creation and implementation of ILS support solutions to meet customer requirements for both L3Harris commercial and Defence products. The LSM provides ongoing support to customers as the primary point of contact for logistics support related enquiries. The LSM works to ensure that the delivery of logistics and technical support services meets the requirements of both L3Harris and the customer. The LSM will report to the Head of MRO.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Conduct technical management of customer initiated corrective action requests including RODUMs, defects, warranty claims
- Conduct engineering supportability analysis including maintenance requirements, maintenance investigations and technical substitutions
- Conduct obsolescence management and provide recommendations obsolescence options to management and customers
- Develop and be responsible for policy/process and procedures for effective technical and engineering support outcomes
- Review EMEI, ILSI and other technical publication updates and support technical publication management
- Be responsible for process improvement initiatives and develop value for money business cases as necessary
- Support the program and project management community with input and advice on technical and engineering support solutions on sustainment contracts
- Liaise with customer Logistic and Fleet Managers to achieve optimal logistics, technical and engineering support solutions/outcomes
- Provide inventory and supply system optimisation
- Conduct Stock Assessments and reporting
- Provide CDATA assembly and submission and monitoring of MILIS codification and cataloguing
- Provide Life Cycle Cost modelling
- Conduct data document and review in the engineering and configuration management functions
- Conduct Technical Information Reviews including monitoring engineering artefacts, eg ECOs, SBs, CAPAs, for applicability and actionability within the L3HCA engineering team
- Work with ILS team to ensure that logistics, technical and engineering support sustainment solutions meet customer expectations
- Contribute to the Leadership of the MRO function and applicable programs
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Current Australian Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
- Understanding of Defence ILS and engineering operations
- Proven experience in managing contractual deliverables within the defence industry
- Excellent communication and Written skills
- Experience within Defence contracting industry
- Expertise with handling Classified and ITAR controlled documents
