Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Systems Engineer with Networking experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take on unique challenges, broaden your technical expertise, and contribute to mission-critical system solutions that help protect the United States and our allies. You will work alongside a talented, collaborative team committed to solving complex technical problems and delivering high-quality results.
Essential Functions:
- Manage system and subsystem-level requirements specifications using requirements management tools such as DOORS, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the lifecycle
- Maintain bi-directional traceability between customer requirements, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and verification artifacts.
- Support network engineering activities, including network architecture development, interface definition, IP-based communications design, and analysis of system performance, connectivity, and interoperability requirements.
- Create and maintain verification matrices and support system verification and validation activities, including selected verification by analysis efforts.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines, program management, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support program execution.
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience, or
- Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience preparing for and supporting design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and technical interchange meetings.
- RF and SATCOM communications experience
- Experience with network architecture design and analysis, including LAN/WAN, IP networking, routing protocols, and network security principles.
- Experience supporting network integration and test.
