Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

  • Serve as the Material Management interface to Program teams and align material solutions with business needs.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to effectively time phase material to service financial objectives and program schedules.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the efficient movement of material from identification of the requirement to delivery to the end user.
  • Define raw material scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Interface with Procurement Buying teams to distribute and manage purchase requisitions.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning and Inventory/Warehouse/Logistics to support the execution of the Program build plan.
  • Support, lead, and/or chair material status meetings with Program and functional teams.
  • Monitor and reconcile any relevant Material procurement disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Identify material risks during proposal and execution phases and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives.
  • Manage program material budgets and explain variances in monthly performance.
  • Estimate and manage labor budget for program material management resources.
  • Establish, track, and report EVMS performance for programs.
  • Support all audit activities as requested.

Essential Functions:

  • Motivated self-starter well-versed in the Material Management Process Flow
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions
  • Ability to navigate FAR and MMAS regulations and internal procedures for compliance
  • Support Small Business Initiatives, as applicable
  • Ability to generate sales forecasts and variance reports
  • Follow strategic direction set by Program and functional leadership

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • TS/SCI clearance preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software
  • Knowledge of and experience with FAR, MMAS, SOX, and CAS requirements, as well as ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Understanding of and basic knowledge of the manufacturing process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
