About your next challenge as Program Performance Manager :

Seeking an experienced Program Performance Manager supporting a portfolio of Canadian Navy River Class Destroyer (RCD) Programs with a Rhythm of performance control/reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who collaborates cross functionally with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization. Must be able to compile toward and lead a monthly program performance cycle to aid multiple Program Managers in understanding their performance status, variances, and corrective actions and be able to effectively interface with senior levels of management in summarizing cost/schedule metrics.

The Program Performance Manager shepherds the Program Performance Management Rhythm interfacing with various Program Managers on the RCD portfolio of programs that represent the largest set of programs at L3 MAPPS Canada.  Based on the significance of this portfolio, this position requires attention to details in ensuring all performance data is accurate and the baseline tracking provides the Program Managers and the Canada Senior Leadership Team, the correct information/status.

What you will do:

  • Leads the River Class Program Managers through a Performance Rhythm that includes Baseline, Baseline change, Monthly ETC/EAC, capturing Quantified Performance (Earned Value), Control Account reporting/analysis, Variance reviews/corrective actions, and US monthly program reporting (Tier Reviews);
  • Participates in risks and opportunities monthly reviews and ensure Management Reserves are adequate and has Burndown/Profit Step Up plans in place in driving action plans to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities;
  • Provides oversight of RCD financials for Orders, Sales, EBIT, and Cash including preparation of financial reports and briefings to leadership as well as interfacing in providing data cuts to the Finance Planning and Analysis team monthly;
  • Monitors and proactively manages milestone invoices and program cash forecast with the Billing function;
  • Analyzes and monitors RCD program EACs – ensuring the preparation, maintenance and timely reporting of program performance data to Division/Sector leadership;
  • Program Performance and Earned Value Management (EVM) is an asset to effectively cooperate with Program Planner / Scheduler Functions;
  • Champion the enhancement of finance processes and tools, including the introduction of automation to increase efficiency and accuracy;
  • Foster the development and maintenance of robust controls.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience;
  • Ability to lead and mentor;
  • Strong planning/scheduling skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines of a Program Performance Rhythm;
  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving ability;
  • Manage and perform multiple tasks;
  • Prior experience using COBRA;
  • Prior A&D industry experience;
  • Program Management experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
