Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive technology professional to provide advanced on-site technical consultation, analysis, recommendations, and assistance to users, manufacturing, engineering, and business teams. This role partners with stakeholders to evaluate operational technology needs, assess risks, and recommend IT solutions that support system uptime, data integrity, and business resiliency. The position requires strong analytical skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to lead technology improvement efforts in a complex industrial environment.
Job Description:
- Work with users to understand their technology needs and determine the tools required to support their work.
- Identify and recommend hardware, software, and technology solutions that help the business operate effectively.
- Evaluate technology risks and identify solutions that reduce business disruption and improve reliability.
- Provide guidance to manufacturing, engineering, and other business teams regarding technology decisions and solutions.
- Review existing technology and recommend improvements, standards, and long-term solutions that support business needs.
- Help determine when technology should be purchased, upgraded, replaced, or retired.
- Compare technology options and recommend solutions that best meet business and operational requirements.
- Lead technology improvement efforts that help the organization operate more effectively and reduce operational risk.
- Analyze system performance, assess capacity requirements, and identify underlying causes of technology issues that may impact operational performance.
- Develop and recommend improvements to technology configurations and processes that enhance reliability, security, compliance, and long-term effectiveness.
- Prioritize and lead technology improvements that support business operations, reduce operational risk, and minimize business disruption.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), remote management tools, and monitoring software.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, including ERP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, and industrial automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure during production-critical situations.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $68,500-$127,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $59,000-$110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
