Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an agile, organized, result oriented Supervisor, Quality & Mission Assurance to work at our Orange, VA location. Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing!  This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs. Must be willing and able to travel to other L3Harris and customer sites. Must be able to lift 32 lbs.

Essential Functions:

65% - Manage the day-to-day activities of the quality inspectors.

20% - Training / Compliance of Inspection Team

15% - Continuous Improvement

 Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Quality Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

·Working knowledge of common quality standards (AS9100 or ISO-9001) and typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, fabrication, material forming, product assembly, Foreign Object prevention, MRB, etc.).

·Demonstrated experience in the leadership of continuous improvement tools (e.g. Lean, 6S, root cause analysis, process mapping) required.

·Working knowledge of GD&T strongly desired

·Demonstrate strong writing and verbal skills, and an ability to mentor and increase the effectiveness and productivity of employees.

·Experience partnering with other business organizations including Finance, Engineering, Program Management and Operations strongly desired.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $63,500 – $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
