Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering, RC-135 Media and Security Management Specialist for our location at Offutt AFB, NE. The Media and Security Specialist oversees media accountability and functions as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for RC-135 mission systems.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the RC-135 mission systems media account; provide accountability, maintenance, and continuity for mission media for the RC-135 aircraft and associated ground systems.
- Develop local procedures for the control, inventory, and destruction of all mission media in accordance with governing policies.
- Ensure that configuration management for all mission system software and hardware is maintained and documented.
- Ensure RC-135 aircraft and associated mission systems are operated and maintained in accordance with security policies and practices as outlined in the accreditation/certification support documentation package.
- Support RC-135 mission system accreditation efforts, modification, review, and implementation of System Security Plans.
- Develop/enforce local procedures to ensure that all mission system users have the required security clearance, authorization, need to know, and are aware of user responsibilities.
- Perform periodic audits and reviews of mission systems with the goals of:
- Identifying security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Ensuring systems follow the security authorization package.
- Position is primarily first shift but may require occasionally working second or third shifts and will require short-duration trips to overseas locations for media inventory and mission system audits.
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs. (5% of the time)
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of prior computer hardware and software principles experience.
- Graduate degree with two (2) years of prior computer hardware and software principles experience.
- In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of prior computer hardware and software principles experience.
- Ability to successfully obtain DoD IAT level II certification or higher within six months.
- Must have an active Top Secret with SCI DoD clearance at the time of hire.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information Security, or similar field.
- Certified Information Systems Professional or related certification.
- Knowledge and experience with the current RC-135 aircraft and mission systems.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of USAF system security policies and accreditation requirements.
