Job Description:

L3 Harris is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Norfolk VA team.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to procedures, materials, and technical instructions.
  • Perform regular inspections of work areas and other quality assessments.
  • Attend production meetings for updates on job progress and work with the shop leads to address issues.
  • Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for testing.
  • Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Specialist as needed.
  • Support quality control initiatives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of quality or technical experience.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and QA systems.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and has at least a basic understanding of electrical/electronic test results.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to obtain NACE or NBPI certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • NBPI and NACE certifications preferred but not required.
  • J-STD-001 preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • WHMA/IPC-A-620 preferred but not required.
