Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Software Operations Specialist in support of Facility activities. Duties for successful candidates include but are not limited to reviewing and developing information system accreditation/certification support documentation; interacting with customers when changes occur that may affect the information system accreditation/certification; performing system and network self-inspections; identifying information system vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
Responsibility for program policy creation/update; maintaining information system security records. The ISSM will provide assistance on IT and information system security issues that may affect the mission of the customer. This Specialist reports to the Operations Lead at the site.
Essential Functions:
L3Harris is seeking a site specific Software Operations Specialist to support Division specific requirements. This positionwill:
- Provision, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, software, and accessories for software developers, Senior Leadership Team and support staff.
- Support customer demonstration environments, including laptop/software setup and AV/media coordination.
- Manage and maintain all AV/media equipment for internal and customer facing meetings, including setup, testing, and live support.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets (laptops, peripherals, AV equipment, demo units).
- Partner with sales, business development and media teams to ensure customer demo equipment is always presentation-ready.
- Support software deployments, software development licensing management, and updates across employee laptops to reduce any business disruption.
- Provide on-site or remote support during important customer facing meetings, company meetings, and product demos.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve and standardize IT support processes.
- Act as a liaison between the L3Harris IT team and the business for special projects or technology needs.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies to continually improve ForceX’s customer event experiences.
- Supports the BD and Products teams in tradeshow and customer test and demonstration activities.
- Develops and maintains pre-planned demonstration kits in coordination with export and scurity to enable streamlined international and domestic activities.
- Coordinates with the Field Services organization to ensure proper customer deconfliction and handoff when required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 4+ years in IT support, IT operations, AV support, or a related role.
- Strong experience supporting laptops (Windows and/or iPad), software applications, and network connectivity.
- Experience with AV/media setup (projectors, microphones, video conferencing, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and support multiple simultaneous projects and meetings.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience supporting software program and product teams as well as sales demo environments.
- Familiarity with remote support tools, MDM (Mobile Device Management), and IT asset management.
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, VPNs, conference room setup).
- Exposure to SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.).
- In addition, if selected the candidate may perform a variety of additional tasks to include supporting the Business Development team in facilitating demonstrations on and off site.
- Experience with/ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
