Job Summary:
L3Harris ForceX is an Agile organization with a focus on continuous improvement seeking to add qualified candidates with an innovative and creative mindset to the DevSecOps team. The position will support multiple development efforts producing solutions for government and commercial airborne mission systems. As a member of the L3Harris ForceX DevSecOps team, you will apply a comprehensive knowledge of information technology, security concepts, automation skills, operating system configuration management, continuous integration, and product delivery to increase software development efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of collaboration between development, security, and operations teams ensuring that security best practices are embedded into the infrastructure.
- Design, document, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable environments (containers, VMs, operating systems, and applications) where development and operations can take place seamlessly.
- Analyze the current L3Harris ForceX development environments to create and implement strategies to continue growth, maturity, and security of environment & capabilities across the organization.
- Automate repetitive tasks and integrating tools that facilitate continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and continuous monitoring.
- Build and administrate CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling (security, monitoring, configuration management, etc.) used to increase team efficiency and effectiveness among the engineering and cyber teams.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement enhancements to ensure the platform evolves to meet the growing demands of the organization.
- Proactively identify trends, determine root cause(s), troubleshoot, and initiate appropriate action to resolve issues involving cross-functional teams.
- Develop KPIs and cater reporting to Stakeholders within the organization.
- Baseline and maintain secure server environment and CI/CD pipelines to include decommissioning and cataloging software inventory.
- Manage multiple task assignments and other corporate priorities.
- Perform all job functions with a positive, professional attitude.
- Efficiently train best practices to be standardized among the development teams.
- Effectively research, propose, and develop strategies with cross-functional team concerning integration of new technology, tools, and processes into new and existing engineering opportunities.
- Enhance current monitoring and logging capabilities within the CI/CD pipeline to provide real-time feedback to stakeholders to support informed decision making and improvements within the environment.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, engineering or related technical field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Moderate experience with at least one programming language is optional. (.Net, C/C++, Python, Java, Go, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge supporting agile software development in .NET and C/C++, is desired.
- Moderate experience administering Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOps Server, GitLab, or other similar technologies and utilizing their REST APIs for automation, is required.
- Moderate experience supporting Linux (RHEL, CentOS, etc.) and Windows (10/11 Server/SQL Server 12/16/19/22) environments.
- Proficient knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, etc.) and SQL administration.
- Moderate experience with development tools for desktop and embedded applications such as Visual Studio (2015/2017/2019/2022), MSBuild, CMake, and others.
- Moderate practical scripting skills is required. (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Moderate experience with a Configuration Management tool such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt is desired.
- Proficient knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of continuous test with NUnit, MSTest and Coded UI or equivalent test frameworks.
- Proficient knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of feature and defect management using VersionOne and its REST API for automation is optional.
- Moderate experience with Artifact Management tools such as Artifactory, Nexus, NuGet, NPM, Docker, etc is required.
- Moderate experience with virtualization, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code technology is desired.
- Experience deploying software to embedded systems or IoT devices.
- Proficient knowledge of DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Fundamentals.
- Proficient knowledge of OS Configuration Management workflows, processes, and principles.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to possess a Secret clearance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Work performed in an office environment
- Duties may require working outside of normal working hours (evenings and weekends)
- Ability to sit at a desk, look at a monitor, and type for extended periods of time
- May be required to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Travel up to 10% of the time
