L3Harris is seeking a Quality Lead to oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing facility. The Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within the manufacturing department. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards for quality and reliability before they reach the customer. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:
L3Harris is seeking a site specific Quality Lead to support Division specific requirements. This positionwill:
- Lead the Quality Assurance effort for a manufacturing line for Counter UxS systems
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Oversee the AS9100 certification process and ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing process to identify areas for improvement and ensure configuration management.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor quality assurance team members on best practices and quality standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality-related issues.
- Communicate quality performance and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship which is required to obtain a Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and certification processes.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices, including Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage and lead projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
