Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Program Management (L6) to join our Programs team. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing a team of program managers, as well as managing the execution of a significant contract program within rapid technology development domain. This position reports to the Director of Program Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage a team of program managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring professional growth within the team.
  • Actively manage the execution of a assigned programs, ensuring all project deliverables are met within scope, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and resource allocations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program objectives and progress.
  • Ensure program compliance with L3Harris policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and high-performance team culture.
  • Conduct regular program reviews, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate the customer’s goals and represent the customer’s interests to the team.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to support proposal creation, contract negotiations, and customer relationship management.
  • Escalate issues and present solutions to senior leadership as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of program management experience in the defense or aerospace industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • 12 years experience with Earned Value programs along with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contracts.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • Must maintain eligibility requirements to access US classified information.
  • Ability to gain a secret clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of program management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., PMI, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • PMP, PgMP, or relevant program management certification.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and defense industry standards.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large and complex programs, preferably in the C-UAS or related domain.
  • Working Conditions:

    • Travel up to 25%.
    • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
    • Ability to work on-site at various locations as needed.
