Compensation Range: Between $50,500 - $93,500 CDN annually
We are seeking a motivated Analyst to join our program finance team within the Canadian defense sector. The incumbent will work on large defense contracts helping the team in both program forecasting and reporting.
L3 Harris MAPPS manages a multitude of international projects across the globe with a strong presence in Canada. L3 Harris MAPPS specializes in the maritime, nuclear simulators and communication systems sectors.
The successful candidate will hone their understanding of EACs (Estimates at Complete) and apply an analytical approach to program reporting and earned value management.
Essential Functions:
- Forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning (profit & loss, EACs, and cash flow) including coordinating, preparing and analyzing various financial reports and data prior to submission.
- Assist in preparation and coordination of the MAPPS consolidated Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Development / Review of time phased budgets following contract award.
- Tracking, monitoring and analyzing cost performance on programs.
- Ongoing reporting of Programs cost and schedule variances in accordance with company policy.
- Estimate to complete / estimate at complete preparation and review, analysis and monitoring.
- Maintenance and reporting of timely performance data to division management team.
- Generating monthly earned value metrics or assigned programs.
- Providing financial analysis for audits and other financial activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related-field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance or in a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft office software.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Highly organized and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail oriented with strong finance and/or program management skills: ability to pay close attention to detail while remaining accurate is crucial in the analysis of large collections of data.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Deltek Cobra and Microsoft project.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
