Compensation Range : Between $113,000 - $163,000 CDN annually
The Supply Chain Manager for Maritime International Division in Canada will leverage their experience in supply chain and/or program or product management to lead cross-functional teams in developing robust supply chain strategies and executing key programs across MID products. In collaboration with functional leaders, the SCM will implement tailored, “right-sized” practices for successful execution from early engineering design through the full product / project lifecycle. Emphasis will be placed on risk and opportunity management to ensure high-quality delivery.
Essential Functions:
- Supply Chain authority for all programmes and bids within the business.
- Champion Supply Chain within the business as a value creator.
- Lead and direct the Supply Chain team, providing guidance and coaching to enable them to develop and complete their assignments.
- Provide strategic direction to the supply chain team and foster a forward thinking culture with focus on policy and strategy implementation and improvement.
- Determine, develop and manage strategic supplier relationships (SRM).
- Development of new processes and business systems with a continuous improvement approach to create efficiencies within the business and the achievement of overall functional / business results.
- Establish operational plans and objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results (KPI’s).
- Support, advise and assist Program Managers and business leaders on all Supply Chain aspects.
- Communicate within and outside of the organisation to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Supply Chain global colleagues to ensure consistent strategy and solutions in line with corporate requirements and policies.
- Support the business in providing supply chain resources/capabilities to execute all program and business needs and ensure full utilisation.
- Provide timely inputs to all Corporate reporting requirements.
- Provide detailed updates to the Senior Management Team on all supply chain activity as part of the site SLT.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills within the Supply Chain discipline and has a broad understanding of other functional job roles.
- Degree/professional qualification and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
- Experience of communication and contract negotiation at senior levels.
- Prioritise own workload and that of others to achieve objectives.
- Delegation of tasks to suit team capabilities.
- Proactive style and flexible attitude to scope of role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills High standard of technical skills including MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interpretation, review, and error checking of data.
- Continuous improvement of processes and systems to enhance performance of function.
- Conduct investigations to understand root cause of problems to solve issues and change attitude to prevent recurrence.
- Identification and application of relevant business practices.
- Comply with and promote an ethical approach to Supply Chain Management.
- Budget management and applicable project budget.
- Cost/Price interpretation and analysis.
- Communicate with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes customers and/or vendors.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
