Job Title: Avionics Systems Engineering, Analyst (Temporary 12 months)

Job Location: Mirabel, QC

Job Schedule: Day Shift

Essential Functions:

The candidate will work in the Avionics Systems group for the military CF-18 and CT114 Programs. The candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of avionics systems for military and commercial aircraft. Translate customer requirements into system-level specifications and assist in writing subsystem specifications. Perform engineering trade studies and evaluate alternative solutions under guidance. Support integration and testing of avionics and military systems and prepare technical presentations while collaborating with team members to deliver project objectives.

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for avionics systems;
  • Translate customer requests into system-level requirements;
  • Assist in writing subsystem specifications for subcontractors;
  • Conduct engineering trade studies on new and existing technologies;
  • Review electrical wiring diagrams for compliance with system requirements;
  • Support integration and testing of avionics and military systems;
  • Prepare technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to airworthiness and security standards.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Avionics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent);
  • 0–2 years of prior related experience (entry-level);
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and standards (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, DO-178, DO-254);
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office tools;
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 and ePlan P8 is an asset;
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 15288:2008 is a major asset;
  • Knowledge of MBSE SysML is a major asset.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
