Job Description:
- Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material and IT equipment from receiving (Melbourne, FL) or the Columbus, OH centralized warehouse to the integration facility and ultimately, to be deployed nationwide in support of FAA enterprise networks.
- Collaborates with engineering and the Program office to develop material and equipment requirements and scheduling requirements and coordinates material requisitioning and ordering with Procurement and Subcontracts departments.
- Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives. Identify process improvements and facilitate implementation.
- Utilizes various tools, including a document management system for part, BOM and drawing/specification releases and our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system among others to effectively plan and schedule material and equipment deliveries to support program schedule and program working capital objectives.
- Responsible for the overall management of inventory in terms of supporting the projects’ integration and deployment schedules, maintaining proper Spares levels and managing material and equipment obsolescence.
- Support quarterly inventory cycle counting and/or reconciliation audits with the program financials.
- Monitor and reconcile any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle.
- Estimate and manage labor budget for program Supply Chain resources.
- Participates and/or lead projects/teams as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ associate’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Possesses clear and effective oral and written communications skills.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools and Supply Chain / Inventory Management systems.
- Basis understanding of FAR, AMS, MMAS, SOX, and CAS requirements.
- A problem solver – capable of making decisions to resolve issues.
- Works independently with little direction.
- Focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook applications including Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Ability to manage, track, and prioritize multiple tasks.
