Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Strategic HR Business Partner to join our Corporate Headquarters team supporting global Engineering, Operations, Program Excellence, Business Development, External Communications, and Government Relations functions.
This is a highly strategic role responsible for shaping and executing talent strategies that directly enable business objectives. The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insight, counsel, and data-driven solutions across workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and leadership capability. This role operates as a consultant and change agent, anticipating talent needs and translating business strategy into tailored HR solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with corporate functional leaders to design and deliver HR strategies that support enterprise business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce and succession planning, leadership development, engagement, and retention strategies.
- Advise leaders on complex people matters including compensation strategy, performance management, talent assessment, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Provide HR leadership for international client groups, ensuring regional business strategies are supported by compliant and effective HR practices.
- Leverage data, trends, and metrics to identify opportunities, diagnose organizational issues, and recommend scalable solutions.
- Steer and influence enterprise leadership development efforts, including early career Engineering and Operations programs and Technical Fellowships.
- Lead organizational change efforts in partnership with business leaders, including restructuring, realignment, and growth initiatives.
- Ensure sound risk management by maintaining working knowledge of employment laws and HR policies, providing guidance that supports compliance while enabling business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience supporting global corporate functions in a highly matrixed environment, preferably within the defense or government contracting industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, change management, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and compensation strategy.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to financial and operational outcomes.
- Advanced consulting, influencing, and coaching skills with senior leaders.
- Strong analytical capability with aptitude for HR digital tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to identify root causes, assess risk, and apply systems thinking to complex organizational challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently while navigating ambiguity and driving results
