Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PLM Data Migration Lead to oversee and execute the end-to-end data migration strategy for our PLM implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Teamcenter, CREO CAD, data modeling and migration tools, with a strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing data.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the planning, design and execution of data migration activities for all PLM systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, PLM architects, integrated tools architects, and technical teams to define data migration scope, strategy and timelines
- Analyze legacy systems and data sources to map and transform data into and out of the PLM system
- Develop and manage data migration scripts, tools and validation processes
- Ensure data integrity, quality and compliance throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Coordinate data cleansing, enrichment, and validation efforts with the business users, including having significant involvement in the development of validation rules and test scripts with the technical team and business partners.
- Lead the execution of all test and production data loads for meta data as well as attachments and CAD data migrations. This includes the creation and ownership of a detailed cutover schedule and plan as well as a hypercare plan.
- Responsible for the detailed documentation of all migrations and the logic in the ETL code, documentation of lessons learned and bug resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 7+ years of experience in PLM and CAD systems and data migration projects
- 2+ years of experience with Oracle DB (PL SQL) and/or MS SQL.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Hands on experience with Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian BitBucket, Atlassian Confluence, Siemens Teamcenter, and PTC CREO CAD tools
- Experience leading complex data migration teams and projects with proven results and strong lessons learned.
- Proficiency in data migration ETL tools
- Strong understanding of engineering processes and impacts on data models and data migrations.
- Experience in leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complexity and drive clarity in ambiguous environments
- Experience with Oracle Agile PLM and PTC Windchill PDMLink is a plus
- Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain, if required
