Job Description:
L3Harris is actively seeking an Associate Manager, Engineering Services to lead and manage a diverse team focused on Logistics and Integrated Product Support. This proactive leader will be tasked with optimizing depot-level support and repair processes, managing assets and property, and developing comprehensive technical manuals and training programs. The role requires a candidate who can effectively oversee the assembly, repair, and inventory management of equipment for the Federal Aviation Administration, ensuring that all activities are executed with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive results and maintain strict compliance with industry regulations while creating detailed technical documentation on computer systems and individual components to support maintenance and sustainment efforts. The location for the performance of this program is Melbourne, FL. Employee must be located on site.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for all program Logistical elements.
- Interfaces with multidiscipline team to provide Integrated Product Support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and government personnel, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries related to the team's activities.
- Manage cost account, schedule, and milestones related to logistical support.
- Create work orders and provide oversight for depot repairs and maintenance activities.
- Act as a liaison between management and team leaders to synchronize efforts across different operational periods.
- Reviews, approves, and manages all shipments of parts, consumables, and items from the depot facility.
- Manages government property, performs inventories, overseas audits, and prepares property reports on routine basis.
- Authors FAA technical manuals and training for operational, instructional, and service procedures in accordance with customer requirements.
- Develops and presents briefings at weekly technical meetings and monthly program management reviews.
- Participates and leads professional discussions in technical interchange meetings.
- Maintains document and version control of formal/informal training deliverables.
- Provides backup support for other Integrated Product Support managers.
- Supports bid and proposal efforts for new pursuits.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience leading an Integrated Product Support team.
- Experience managing Depot Operations maintaining fielded hardware.
- Experience supporting a government program in the Operations and Maintenance phase.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, Engineering processes, and life cycle management
- Experience utilizing EVMS and reporting IMS milestone status.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat DC.
